i'm really looking forward to summer and wear some white! i actually never have owned a whole white outfit but this year i think i will be buying a lot more white. it looks always so nice when you have a summer tan. this fashiolista pick dress is more of a basic piece, but i like the fit of the dress, and probably also will look really flirty for summer. when you pair the dress with the beautiful blazer from acne and these killer heals the look will be more sophisticated.

since this week the sun is finally coming through the clouds, and spring is just around the corner. so i have really been fantasizing what to wear when summer will hit. this will definitely be something i want to where on a nice vacation night. can you imagine wearing these cool heels and skirt when you're of to a nice bar/terrace in you favorite holiday destination. these fashiolista picks also give me a cool tropical feel.

the pizza vending machine

i know, when you see this, you have to look twice. i did! but yes, it's true, the pizza vending machine exist.


what it is?
the innovative machine holds, cooks and serves 9” whole pizza pies in less then 2 minutes. there are 3 different pizzas available in each machine at one time. the wonderpizza  machine is the first super-automatic dispenser for a pizza. the first machine's part is a refrigeration unit, which keeps the pizza's temperature between 0 and +4°C; the second one houses an electrical oven that it cooks in high intensity toasted oven, so that means it's not a microwave. if you think this is weird, there are also vending machines for hotdogs, fries, and even goldfish!

wow, i love this bright dress! it makes me look out for summer even more. i like the minimal look of the dress, still it has such an impact. and the details in the top of the dress are also very nice. if you are looking for something similar, i know zara has one that looks a little like this one for their spring/summer collection, even though it will never be as nice as this one. 

h&m fashion against aids

26 of april h&m will launch their new collection for the fashion against aids line. FAA is a campaign designed to raise both funds and awareness, and 25% of sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS projects around the world. for this collection they created a unisex line, which has a sporty look. here are my favorites from the line, but the bag and the leather jeacket will definitely be on my shopping list. to see more of the line, click here.

since the day i discovered the website fashiolista i am a huge fan of it! i'm always looking for new items on the site, and where i can buy them. the last few weeks i'm making little outfits with the items, i don't know if somebody did notices that in my fashiolista banner? yesterday night i made a new one, a chiq/rock kind of look, and when i shut down my laptop i though, wouldn't it be more fun to post my fashiolista outfits on my blog. so here it is! from now on, every week i will post my four fashiolista picks for the outfit. i hope you like it! and please comment what you think about it.

h&m inclusive collection

today h&m launched this new amazing temporarily collection that is called: inclusive. this feminine and most of all colorful collection comes in a range of sizes larger than normal. in fact it's available in sizes from 32 to 54. the female collection consist of twenty masterpieces with influences of the 50s, like colorful dresses, bright skirts, tops, knitwear and lingerie. as of today the inclusive collection will be sold exclusively in the webshop of h&m. i really love every pieces of this collection and definitely will be buying one of the dresses for the summer. 

swimming pool

what is it?

this fake pool, called the swimming pool was created by the artist leandro erlich for the 21st century museum of contemporary art in kanzawa, japan. leandro put two clear acrylic glasses about a foot apart and filled the space in between with water. the top surface is also filled with about 4 to 5 inches of water , so that is looks like realistic pool. leandro erlich makes a lot more optical illusion like art, to see more of his work go to his website here.

for people who know me, they know i'm crazy about heels. i can't get enough! to bad it's still freezing in holland, and i'm still living in my mini uggs. i really can't wait for summer to start, so i can wear my heels  again, how are now collecting dust. here some pretty pairs.

here some beautiful jewelry form proenza schouler. it's made out of climbing ropes, wrapped in cords and yarn! i think it's a definite must have for summer. the bracelets start at a price of $125, and the necklaces at $450. if you don't want to spend so much money on one piece of jewelry, i have a nice diy for you!

interview mascha feoktistova, beautygloss.nl

Een tijdje terug had ik de eer om een van de grootste beauty bloggers van Nederland te interviewen, namelijk Mascha Feoktistova. Zij is bekend van de blog beautygloss.nl. Hierop schrijft ze reviews over producten maar ook maakt ze leuke filmpjes waarin ze bijvoorbeeld producten uit test.

Op haar 9e had ze al haar eigen website, dit ging naar haar eigen zeggen nergens over. “dat was een 3 dingen invullen, plaatjes kiezen en klaar website”. Op haar 15e begon ze met haar eerste persoonlijke blog. Hier schreef ze jarenlang iedere dag gewoon over haar dagelijkse leven. Daarnaast begon ze ook al een 'mini' beautyblog. “Ik begon mijn eerste echte blog omdat ik wilde leren om 'goed' te schrijven, dat kon (kan) ik namelijk niet. Ik maak heel veel spelfouten bijvoorbeeld. Uiteindelijk haalde ik er veel meer uit, ik kon mijn hart luchten en kreeg er reacties op. Dat vond ik leuk!” Na even uit de scene weg geweest te zijn begon ze in 2007 met haar, nu zo bekende beautyblog, beautygloss.nl. 

Behalve dat Mascha van haar blog haar werk heeft gemaakt en hier full time mee bezig is, is dit niet het enige wat ze doet. Momenteel is ze af aan het studeren aan SPH, hiervoor hoeft ze alleen nog een scriptie te schrijven. Dit doet ze naast haar blog en probeert dit zo goed mogelijk te combineren door alles goed te plannen. Aangezien haar blog zo goed loopt heeft ze er voor gekozen om na haar afstuderen geen andere baan te zoeken. “Ik vind het een geweldige sector, maar ik heb geen tijd voor een extra baan naast mijn 2 bedrijven”. (ze heeft ook nog een webshop, bybeautygloss.nl). Sinds mei 2009 is beautygloss.nl officieel haar bedrijf geworden en is deze dan ook aangemeld bij de kamer van koophandel. Dit heeft ze gedaan omdat  ze op een gegeven moment is gaan samen werken met een mediabureau, en ze daar steeds meer begon te verdienen. “Ik geniet elke dag van mijn site en zie het ook echt niet als werk. Elke ochtend dat ik op sta, elke keer als ik een afspraak heb, of een product krijg denk ik weer: ik ben zo gezegend met deze fantastische baan!”

Op beautygloss.nl zul je veel reviews vinden van producten en diensten. Heel veel van deze producten worden tegenwoordig naar haar toegestuurd, maar natuurlijk koopt ze zelf ook nog gewoon producten om te 'reviewen'. Ze vond het erg moeilijk om te kiezen wat een van de leukste dingen was die ze met haar blog had bereikt of gekregen. De twee leukste dingen die ze hiermee heeft kunnen doen waren, naar London mogen overvliegen om daar op een congres te spreken en naar New York gaan om vanuit daar te bloggen. “Dat zijn echt dingen die zó vet waren!” Omdat ze op haar blog veel bezig is met nieuwe producten vroeg ik haar of ze specifiek trends bijhoud of meer doet wat ze leuk vind. “Natuurlijk houd ik de trends bij, ik vind het wel belangrijk voor de site. En dan bedoel ik de trends op beauty gebied, fashion interesseert me niet zo veel. Wat betreft 'website trends', die zijn er natuurlijk ook. Daarin doe ik compleet wat ik zelf wil en bedenk ik altijd nieuwe dingen, ik 'pik' nooit ideetjes. Ik denk dat dit echt een beetje de kracht is van mijn site, ik bezoek bijvoorbeeld ook niet veel andere blogs. Ik wil zelf dingen bedenken.” Als ze dan een trend moet kiezen die haar het meest aanspreekt is het zolang het maar strak en netjes is.

Beautygloss.nl is nu uit gegroeid tot een van de best gelezen beautyblogs van Nederland met zo’n 120,000 bezoekers per dag! Zelf zegt ze hier eigenlijk niets bewust voor gedaan te hebben. “Ik denk dat het aan de timing lag, op het moment dat ik mijn blog begon was dit omdat ik zelf geen andere blog kon vinden in het Nederlands die alleen maar over beauty ging. Dan startte ik hem zelf wel! Dit geld ook voor Nederlandse filmpjes over beauty. Het was er gewoon niet. De bezoekers kwamen al heel erg snel, dit vond ik wel bijzonder. Er waren ontzettend veel mensen die beauty onderwerpen google-den, en zo op mijn site uit kwamen.” Een tip die ze me mee gaf voor opkomende bloggers was, probeer heel uniek te zijn en doe niemand na. Ga zeker niet spammen! Als je echt een hele leuke blog hebt zullen de bezoekers vanzelf komen.

Als laatste vraag vroeg ik haar of appearance een grote rol speelde in haar kwaliteit van leven. Hierop antwoorde ze: “Het enige dat een rol speelt in mijn kwaliteit van leven is dat ik het naar mijn zin heb en geniet, appearance is iets leuks voor 'erbij' maar zeker niet belangrijk voor de kwaliteit van mijn leven.”
