What it is?
Club MUSÉE is Madrid’s fresh take on what night clubs should be: a combination art gallery and night club, but both with a sharp, trendy edge. This club is designed by Parolio of Madrid’s Parolio & Euphoria Lab. In the Club there is also room for new upcoming art designers and photographers with all very outspoken pieces of art. The visual feast is supported by music mixed by Madrid’s hottest DJs who offer electronic, pop and house music.

Why it's cool?
The urban nomad is someone who is always on the go and always is searching for something new. This nightclub would be perfect for him because he can check out the upcoming designers and their art, and also have a great night out with some good music!

you look milky today!

there's discovered a new way to make clothing. namely with milk!

what it is?
FIN is known for its soft, draped fabrics, and luxury fashion items. yet the collection is totally human and environmentally responsible. they use raw materials like bamboo, silk where the silkworm is spared, and wool form young sheep. the olivia dress from FIN is one-hundred percent made out of milk proteins. the fabric of this exists out of nettings, which is made by a special process of milk proteins. environmentally aware, because in the manufacture of this milk fabric they use less water than in cotton production. FIN does not stop at one garment: the brand has in their entire spring-summer collection milk protein garments. for more information about the eco-collection of FIN click here.

why it's cool?
i think the milk dress from FIN is cool just because it's made out of milk! also because it's a new way to wear clothes that are less damaging to the environment. it shows that there are a lot more things to discover on how we can live more eco-friendly, with day-to-day product.

john altman, spread the love

what it is?
the john altman organization is a organization who try to create things that make the world a better, happier place and have as little impact on the environment as possible. they do this in memory of john altman. when they met him on baker beach san francisco, he was just a man with a beard and an infectious grin strolling along the beach with a tray of cookies, wearing nothing but an apron and a pair of dog-eared flip flops. after they tasted the cookies, which were the best they ever tasted, they asked john if they could take them home. 'sure dude' he said, 'spread the love' and also gave them the recipe. his gift showed precisely the measure of the man to pass on his life's work to them, and ask for nothing in return except to make other people's lives better. now the organization make cookies, wine and even a book about how you can bake your way to happiness, all 100% natural and fairtrade. they like to think that's what john would have wanted.  as well on the site you can enter pladges and when a certain amount of people enter these pledges the organization will donate something to charities. places where you can buy the cookies are the alberthein and the coffee company.

why it's cool?
i just really like the whole story behind the organization. if you read the story the only thing you want to do is spread the love! the pledges are as well a really cool idea because now people can do more than only buy the products. what is also cool is that the organization is dutch! who would have thought!?

please give me one million dollars

the power of web 2.0

what it is?
som months back, 27 year-old craig rowin, a comic, used youtube to ask any millionaire to give him 1 million dollar for nothing in particular. apparently, it worked. rowin's latest video claims that a millionaire called him up to work out the details of giving him 1 million dollar. the millionaire send a notarized letter saying that he'd give rowin 1 million dollar for nothing in return, and will do so on stage at the upright citizens brigade theater in new york on february 2. some are suggesting that the situation is a hoax designed to sell tickets to for the show. if rowin does receive a real check from a real millionaire, this will just be another one of those times where everyone on the planet kicks themselves for not thinking of something so simple first.

why it's cool?
this is the perfect example (if it's true) of how powerful the web is, and how easily things can be. i think  he is also the coolest geek god ever. even though it can be a hoax, he got so many press and managed to get his show sold out.

4SKINS, goodbye smell!

what it is?
a new slip, developed by australian Gilbert Huynh, captures the scent of farts and prevents other people suffer from it. the pants for men of the brand 4SKINS are treated with nanotechnology, to prevent the odors to get through the fabric. the secret behind the underwear is the technology "neutralize", which was developed by Nano-Tex. the technique is applied to each filament so that the action of the substance does not disappear after a while. in addition, this means that your skin can still breathe. "while this stops disturbing odors, it doesn’t help when you try to conceal filthy noises," said the inventor Gilbert Huynh. expect to pay around 20 euros a slip, you can order them here .

why it’s cool?
metrosexual, this is a man who exhibits feminine traits, spends a great attention to his clothes, takes care of his hair, and will use in some cases cosmetics. especially since these men are increasingly concerned with care, they will also be ashamed for farts, especially when they smell dirty. with this product you can hide conceal these disturbing odors and therefore i think they would like this product. why i think this is a cool invention, men can lose their gas but we as women do not have to suffer from the dirty smell. this could be "the best of both worlds".

yesterday 22 nov, h&m pre-opend its newest and largest store on dam square in amsterdam.

tree camping

a few days ago i was searching for something on the internet at my parents house. they have as homepage bing, comparable to google, only it has realy cool pictures on there starting page. here i saw this beautiful picture of tree camping and thought it looked so nice!

what it is?
sleeping in trees is something that has come over from the United States, where they spent a night in the trees with the big tree climbing expeditions. this is done using "tree boats". these are special hammocks for  tree sleeping. it's important when you're tree camping you're always stuck in your climbing system while you sleep. if you wouldn't do this it could have significant consequences! in europe they also allready enjoy this activity but it isn't yet as populair as in the united States.

why it's cool?
i can imagine when you wake up in the morning between the leaves and branches, the wind blowing and the birds are singing, this will be a very relaxing and special experience.
