what it is?
som months back, 27 year-old craig rowin, a comic, used youtube to ask any millionaire to give him 1 million dollar for nothing in particular. apparently, it worked. rowin's latest video claims that a millionaire called him up to work out the details of giving him 1 million dollar. the millionaire send a notarized letter saying that he'd give rowin 1 million dollar for nothing in return, and will do so on stage at the upright citizens brigade theater in new york on february 2. some are suggesting that the situation is a hoax designed to sell tickets to for the show. if rowin does receive a real check from a real millionaire, this will just be another one of those times where everyone on the planet kicks themselves for not thinking of something so simple first.

why it's cool?
this is the perfect example (if it's true) of how powerful the web is, and how easily things can be. i think  he is also the coolest geek god ever. even though it can be a hoax, he got so many press and managed to get his show sold out.
